- Scope and Contents
- This series consists of correspondence, internal memoranda, notes, keyboard and font position and layout charts, product literature, tracings and drawings for various fonts. There is documentation for the Teletypesetter Corporation of Chicago about a teletypesetter and perferator keyboard layout for Sweden and product literature for teletypesetter faces. Several files document the Variable Input Phototypesetter (VIP), a photomechanical typesetter which Merganthaler introduced in 1970. The Xerox correspondence includes agreements and royalty information with Mergenthaler for the development and delivery of fonts.
