- Scope and Contents
- This series documents activities of the broadcasting division of DuMont Laboratories, Inc. The series is divided in two subseries: Stations, and Technical Studies and Field Tests. The first focuses on WABD, New York City: there are two extensive pictorial accounts of the New York station and an application for license modification. There is also a visitors' register from station W3XWT, Washington, D.C. There are also two pieces of material from "The Boys From Boise," a DuMont Network show. A great deal of additional material on network activities, including commercials, programming, and facilities, is in series 13. The second subseries focuses on technical matters of broadcasting, including early field tests for reception. There is also a handbook of engineering standards and blueprints and maps of antenna heights and signal strength. Materials are arranged chronologically.
