- Scope and Contents
- This series contains formulas and formula ledgers (bound formula cards). All formula cards were assigned a "process number" which subsequently appeared on all labels, trays, cans, boxes or other containers used in the manufacture of a particular drug. The number allowed Parke, Davis to track the complete history of each manufacturing operation including the names of individuals who may have been involved in the process. The cards contain the name of the drug, the department name, date, Rx number, mass, coating, yield, cost, and remarks. Other materials include handwritten and typescript notes, final discontinuance notices, and memoranda.
- Collection Restrictions
- Collection is open for research but is stored off-site and special arrangements must be made to work with it. Contact the Archives Center for information at [email protected] or 202-633-3270.
