For letters entered in the volumes, see the series of letters received, November 1865–November 1868, mentioned below. The entries in registers 1 (376) and 2 (377) are arranged alphabetically by initial letter of the surname of the correspondent and thereunder chronologically. The entries in register 3 (378) are arranged in chronological order and numbered.
