- Scope and Contents
- The three volumes of letters sent, August 1866–March 1868, 1 (67), 2 (68), and 3 (69), are arranged chronologically. Volume 2 (68) contains two letters (dated February 19, 1867, and March 11, 1867), and neither is copied in Volume 1 (67). Volume 2 (68) also contains miscellaneous quartermaster records of the Middle Military Division for 1864. Volume 3 (69) contains some loose documents that are copies of letters sent and drafts of memorandums and reports (March and July 1868).
