The entries in the register (February 1867–December 1868) are arranged alphabetically by initial letter of surname of correspondent and thereunder generally by date of receipt. The orders issued to local citizens are dated March 1867–January 1868, and the monthly reports of operations are dated January 1867–July 1868.
