Scope and Contents
Although Fletcher published a monograph on the Pawnee, few of her field notes for the Ha-ko ceremony are preserved. Two field notebooks including some Pawnee materials, dated September 1895 and June 1898, are located with the Omaha ethnographic materials in subseries 3.21. James Murie was Fletcher's primary Pawnee informant and co-authored The Hako: A Pawnee Ceremony. For more ethnographic information relating to the Pawnee, see Fletcher's incoming correspondence from Murie, 1898-1904 (subseries 1.1).
