- This subseries includes the administrative and course materials for the Smithsonian Institution/ University of Wyoming anthropology teacher training program held in Laramie, Wyoming in 1984 -1985, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities/Wyoming Council for the Humanities. Several SI anthropologists were involved with the program, reflected in folder materials that also include correspondence with NMNH Director Richard Fiske and Assistant Secretary for Science, David Challinor, as well as correspondence with SI Board of Regents member, Senator Alan Simpson. Selig's monthly reports written from Laramie, Wyoming to Director Richard Fiske can be found located in Series 4/ Subseries 2/ Folder 5 (NMNH Director, Richard Fiske). Selig moved to Laramie, Wyoming to accompany her husband teaching at the University of Wyoming College of Law; the Museum of Natural History Director, Richard Fiske, transferred Selig to the director's office to carry out her new duties in Wyoming, while Ann Kaupp assumed Selig's duties as acting head of the Anthropology Outreach Office.
