- FP-1975-7RR-0148 features Johnny Shines, urban bluesman from Chicago, originally from Mississippi, singing and playing electric guitar. A variety of urban blues, plus a gospel song and a couple of blues with rural connections are included. Some conversation relating to some of the songs is included. Johnny Shines recorded commercially with Big Walter Horton, who also appeared at the 1975 Folklife Festival, sometimes with Johnny Shines. (See FP-1975-7RR-0144 and -0145.)
