Summit -- Rice Garden
Object Details
- General
- This project on Templar Way involved expansion of an existing brick patio that involved removal of an existing large tree. A low brick wall was built to separate the patio from the adjacent lawn and a fountain and small lily pond was incorporated into the brick wall. Surrounding trees and shrubs beyond the lawn provided privacy as well as shade. Before and after images are included.
- Persons associated with the garden include: Lois W. Poinier (garden designer) and Garrison Robert Rice and Janet Wood Rice (former owners). Janet Wood Rice was a member of the Summit Garden Club.
