Haversham -- Jacobs Garden
Object Details
- General
- The many large and small rocks unearthed during construction of this new house, which began in 1968, were incorporated into the design of its garden and grounds. Lois W. Poinier consulted on the grading of the property, while the clients did the actual planting. Haversham is an area in Westerley, Rhode Island. Images document construction of the house in 1968 as well as completed, mature landscaping in 1972.
- Persons associated with the garden include: Lois W. Poinier (garden designer, circa 1968) and Denholm Muir Jacobs, Sr., and Margaret Bottomley Jacobs (former owners).
