Short Hills -- Campbell Garden
Object Details
- General
- This garden was designed by Helen Page Wodell after 1945 and was well-established by the 1950s. The slides document the appearance of the site before and after landscaping. A driveway was replaced by a stone wall topped with a picket fence to define a terrace. The terrace featured a central lawn area, with bulb and perennial borders on the sides. Specimen and flowering trees, as well as additional lawn areas, filled the rest of the garden.
- Persons associated with the garden include: Helen Page Wodell (garden designer, ca. 1945-1955) and Mr. and Mrs. Worthington Campbell (former owner).
