- Found are all materials relating to Harold Weston's book Freedom in the Wilds (1971), written by Weston as an autobiographical account of his experiences as a painter in the Adirondacks. Records include legal and financial papers, an appeal for financial contributions, correspondence concerning the book, handwritten and typescript drafts including those that are annotated and a precursor to the book entitled "Saga of the Adirondack Mountain Reserve," lists, copy editing notes, photographs and negatives, printed materials, proofs, and published copies of the book.
