- Scope and Contents
- This series documents Pomerantz's contributions to the field of art conservation through papers and presentations he gave at educational institutions, professional conferences, and seminars. Found are typescripts for lectures and presentations, course material, outlines, notes, related material, and sound recordings. Lectures and papers listed alphabetically by title are all by Pomerantz. Several folders relate to diffrerent iterations of a lecture that ultimately resulted in the exhibition Know What You See circulated by SITES, including draft manuscripts and notes for "Learning to See," "Truth in Seeing" and "Know What You See." Also found is a portfolio of copies of Pomerantz's writings from 1962-1978, and Pomerantz's notebook from the Rijksmuseum which includes notes and hand-colored sketches on conservation techniques, as well as photographs of Pomerantz conducting conservation work. The series contains sound recordings of circa 11 lectures and presentations on 10 sound tape reels and 10 sound cassettes.
