- Scope and Contents note
- This series houses copies of Primer Curso de Caricatura, a primer on how to draw the Monguito character's poses and facial expressions, published in Havana in 1925 and other published and unpublished writings by and about Lamarque, including book reviews and design articles written by Lamarque, and an unpublished draft of a book on publication design. The series also contains scripts for Lamarque's magic shows and a journal which primarily documents business matters. Also found are writings by others, including an autobiographical essay by Milagros Abril Lamarque, and limericks written about Lamarque by friends. Researchers may also find writings by Lamarque in Series 10: Scrapbooks. 2023 addition consists of Milagros' autobiography and some notes and a preface on Abril by Otto Storch for an unpublished work.
