Scope and Contents
Biographical material includes an undated address book, and day planners and desk calendars dating from 1966 to 1988; photocopies of airplanes hand drawn by Hughes in the circa 1950s; awards, honorary degrees, and a 1955 report card; announcements from Robert Hughes' 1963 exhibition of paintings in Australia; 2003 and 2008 New York Public Library reading room appointment cards; a sample of Hughes' stationary and business cards; sound recordings including a computer training session, a 1990s Hip Hop and R&B mix tape, and a mix tape featuring songs by The Prodigy; a 1992 National Gallery of Australia Quantas Tenth Birthday Lecture scrapbook; Hughes' 1997 and 2007 curriculum vitae; and digital and typed drafts of Hughes' memoirs, two focusing on a 1988 Bali trip and the death of Roger Hughes.

This collection is open for research. Access to original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C. Research Center.
