- Group of American Buffaloes on exhibit in the Mammal exhibit in the South Hall of the United States National Museum, now the Arts and Industries Building. The buffaloes were collected and mounted by William Temple Hornaday in 1886-1887. Reflected on the glass of the exhibit case is the Rotunda with the Statue of Freedom.
