- Description
- Five 29-cent Olympic Track and Field commemorative stamps were issued on July 12, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. The stamp, depicting five Olympic events -- the pole vault, discus throw, sprint, javelin throw, and hurdles --were designed by computer sports artist Joni Carter of Los Angeles.
- Printed on the photogravure press by the American Bank Note Company, the stamps were issued in panes with forty stamps.
