The new FossiLab in the National Museum of Natural History’s latest exhibition, “The Last American Dinosaurs: Discovering a Lost World,” invites guests to get a firsthand look at how fossils are prepared and conserved for scientific research. “Last American Dinosaurs” opens Nov. 25 and tells the story of non-avian dinosaurs’ final years in western North America through an extraordinary diversity of fossil animals and plants from the Hell Creek Formation in North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
