On Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. EDT, Kinshasha Holman Conwill, deputy director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, and Rhea Combs, the museum’s curator of film and photography, will be hold a national media call to preview the museum’s inaugural Smithsonian African American Film Festival, a four-day film festival in Washington, D.C., taking place Oct. 24–27.

On the call, they will discuss some of the most exciting films coming to this year’s film festival, as well as the special events that will take place. They will also discuss the significance of hosting this historic film festival at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Both will be available on the call for questions from the media.
