This exhibition explores Earth's greatest power source—solar energy—and its potential as a catalyst for design, both practical and visionary—from sundials to solar collectors. A variety of solar and solar electric products, prototypes, and commissioned designs demonstrate the sun's energy as a working asset.

Organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES); co-sponsored with the Smithsonian Gardens (previously Horticultural Services Division).
