On view are portraits by Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908-2004) of such notables as Truman Capote, William Faulkner, Alfred Stieglitz, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., Che Guevara, Pablo Picasso, and others. Best known as the photographer who first captured the "decisive moment" on film in the 1930s, Henri Cartier-Bresson has been making portraits throughout his career as an artist and photojournalist. In 1997, on the eve of his 90th birthday, Henri Cartier-Bresson created an exhibition (and book with the same name), on his work covering five decades. The museum is pleased to present this exhibition in its entirety.
