This showcase takes visitors back to the classroom by viewing an array of tools used to teach math throughout American history, from the 1800s to the present. Artifacts range from colonial-era slates, to the traditional blackboards and textbooks, special games and charts, geometric models, various forms of the abacus, graph paper, special slide rules and calculators, to more recent computer software and Web sites.
