Visit a major retrospective which includes 178 drawings, watercolors, collages, masks and tables, dating from 1945 to the present. The exhibition was first presented earlier in 1978 in a larger version, by the Whitney Museum of Art, New York.

An addition to the HMSG show are 30 drawings—embellishments of SI letterhead—created by Steinberg in 1967 as Smithsonian artist-in-residence at NCFA.
