De la Colección de Arte Popular de Regenia A. Perry: El jardín de la imaginación de Derek Webster

Derek Webster (1934-2009) created sculptures from scraps of wood, trash, and found materials, and adorned them with costume jewelry and brightly-colored house paint. Born in Honduras and raised in Central America, Webster produced many sculptures for the yard of his home in South Side, Chicago, where he eventually settled. This exhibition of nine pieces created between 1980–1996 is from the Regenia A. Perry Folk Art Collection, part of the Anacostia Community Museum’s folk art collection.
