Enjoy 43 paintings by artists who were pioneers in the emergence and acceptance of modern art in and around Philadelphia in the early 20th century. After absorbing knowledge of the new movements in Europe, they returned to exhibit their work. Artists included are Hugh H. Breckenridge, Arthur B. Carles, Charles Demuth, Henry McCarter, Carn Newman, H. Lyman Sayen, Morton Livingston Schambert, and Charles Sheeler.
