Mark the centennial of the 1884 founding of the USDA Bureau of Animal Industry. Although the Bureau no longer exists, its work is carried on by several USDA bureaus. Photographs and objects relate the history of the Bureau, including the eradication of 12 animal diseases in the U.S., among them foot-and-mouth disease. In addition to the USDA's action against epidemics, the USDA inspects meat. Wax/plaster models of diseased meat are on view.
