This exhibition introduces visitors to the diverse arts associated with initiation rites. Selected masterpieces from the permanent collection include a Yaka mask and a uotoate (a carved wooden spoon), as well as a rare, 20th-century timba drum (on loan) used by the Baga peoples during initiation rites.
