On view are handmade greeting card created to celebrate holidays and special occasions by Ernest Dudley Chase (1878-1966) for his beloved Clara Holland, whom he courted in the 1930s and 1940s and married in the 1950s. Most of the cards are done in watercolor and embelllished with cut-paper details and his own calligraphied poetry. Chase was a Massachusetts graphic artist, mapmaker, greeting card designer, and greeting card industry executive.
The Archives Center Cases feature changing displays from the Archives Center collection that may include correspondence, diaries, financial and legal documents, photographs, and sound recordings.
