In the first exhibition of the new museum, see 900 works on display from the permanent collection, which totals some 4000 paintings and 2000 sculptures. Although they range in date from the late 18th century to the present, works of the 20th century predominate. Included are Rodin, Moore, Picasso, David Smith, Calder, de Kooning, Rothko and Matisse.
