Some 80 photographs by Henry Horenstein depict country music fans and performers, including Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, Ricky Skaggs, the Carter Family, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Roy Acuff, Curly Ray Cline, Minnie Pearl, and Tex Ritter. Taken at outdoor music parks, parking lots, bars, and of course, the Grand Ole Opry, these images captured the end of an era of country music as the first and second generation of stars were making their last tours, and a new generation of listeners and performers were embracing them. Also on view are hats worn by Minnie Pearl and Dudley Connell, a record jacket featuring Rounder Records artist Don Stover, a Model 12 Dobro guitar, a scrapbook of hillbilly and Western stars, a fan's photo album, and fan magazines.
