An informative and sometimes light-hearted history of hair, its symbolism and significance in many societies is presented in prints, drawings and artifacts. Included are the periwig of the Lord High Chancellor of England, a portrait of John Barrymore, a Chinese kingfisher feather head dress, several combs by Rene Lalique, as well as tools for curling, styling, and shaving hair.
