The exhibition deals with the forces and personalities that shaped Franklin Delano Roosevelt's character, his ambitions, and his entrance into politics. Images on view include portraits, photographs and cartoons of Roosevelt, his mother and father, his Groton headmaster, his cousins Eleanor, Theodore and Louis Howe, one of the first to spot his political genius. Memorabilia on display include baby clothing, childhood drawings, Harvard grades, and family correspondence.
