This first-of-its kind exhibition examines the diversity and significance of contemporary visual arts of the Ethiopian diaspora. It profiles a select group of 10 artists—from Ethiopia and Eritrea to Washington, New York, California, and France—who are finding their voices within a larger global art world and whose artworks reach across the media. The movements of these artists are rarely simply a story of chain migration but rather of multiple moves, homecomings, and fluctuating affinities to place, space, and identity.

Featured artists: Etiye Dimma Poulsen, Elisabeth Tariqua Atnafu, Achamyeleh Debela, Julie Mehretu, Kebedech Tekleab, Mikael Bethe-Selassie, Alexander "Skunder" Boghossian, Wosene Kosrof, Aida Muluneh, and Elizabeth Hapte Wold.
