Eminent Figures from the American Catholic Religious Tradition

On display in conjunction with the Papal visit are portraits of the first 2 American cardinals; the first American bishop, Bishop John Carroll; and 3 American saints, as well as photographs of notable members of the Catholic clergy. Works are from collections of the National Portrait Gallery and private institutions.
