The early 1960s saw rapid innovations in American science, medicine, and computing. Discoveries made in the laboratory reshaped the American experience. The museum encouraged such change by making Americans better aware of past scientific accomplishments. To mark its 50th anniversary, the museum continues this tradition by presenting a few scientific objects from about 1964.
