Contemporary Nigerian Art: Craftsmen from Oshogbo

July 26, 1974 – October 28, 1974

See some 70 pieces of textiles and metal works, with about half being the sculptured figures and jewelry of Jinadu Oladepo. Tapestries, embroideries, appliques and batiks are included in the textiles.

The showing is in coordination with the exhibition of Nigerian art being shown concurrently at the Corcoran Gallery of Art; both exhibitions are drawn from the collection of Mrs. Jean Wolford.

The exhibition is under the patronage of the Ambassador of Nigeria.
