Documents and photographs from several carousel companies highlight the history of carousels. Two featured wood carvers are Salvatore Cernigliaro (1879-1974), known for his Dentzel animals, and Marcus C. Illions (1866-1949), known for his carousel animals at Coney Island. To illustrate their craftsmanship, 2 full-scale carousel animals—a "flirting rabbit" carved by Cernigliaro and a horse carved by Illions—are displayed nearby.
