Body of Evidence: Selections from the Contemporary African Art Collection

This exhibition showcases and will rotate from the permanent collection a total of 40 myriad objects representing different cultures by 20 African contemporary artists. These artists used the human body—directly or indirectly—as a primary canvas for self-expression to explore the shifting perceptions about gender, age, ethnicity, authority, religion, history, and change.
