This retrospective exhibition features approximately 50 paintings by 45 Russian artists to explore the diversity of Russian art over the last 100 years. Portraits, landscapes, and genre paintings chronicle Russian life in peace and turmoil and define the various periods in Russian Realist art. This is the most comprehensive exhibition of Russian paintings in America since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Organized jointly by curators from the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, and The Museum of Russian Art, Minneapolis.
