The repatriation of the Gilgamesh Dream Tablet from the United States to the Republic of Iraq took place on Thursday, September 23, 2021. The ceremony was presented by the U.S. Cultural Heritage Coordinating Committee (CHCC) and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and hosted by the Smithsonian Institution.
