- Burton snowboard boots with a white and grey herringbone pattern with red carnations throughout worn by Hannah Teter at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic games. Teter won the silver medal in the halfpipe competition in these Burton boots which the company began gearing towards women ten years earlier. Teter began snowboarding in 1995 at the age of 8 and by the time she was17 she had competed in seven World Cup events with four victories. She began competing in the X-Games in 2003, winning gold in the Superpipe and 6 bronze medals through 2016. At 19 she had won gold at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic games and won silver in the next Olympic Games in Vancouver. Injury setbacks have not deterred Teter from honing her craft and she continues to snowboard on the world circuit. Teter is also known for her charity work and is an ambassador for the Special Olympics.
- The 2010 Winter Olympics, also known as the Games of the XXI Olympiad were held in Vancouver, Canada with 82 countries and 2,626 athletes participating. Apolo Anton Ohno became the most decorated Winter Olympian with eight total medals, winning three at these Games. Canada beat the US team to take gold in one of the most watched hockey games in Olympic history. The US alpine ski team won eight medals with Bode Miller winning three making him the most successful American skier in history and Lindsey Vonn taking gold in downhill making her the first American woman to do so. Sean White won a second gold in snowboard halfpipe at these Games while Hanna Teter won silver and Kelly Clark took home the bronze for the women. The US men won gold in the 4-man bobsled and US figure skater Evan Lysacek became the first American to win gold since Brian Boitano at the 1988 Calgary Games. The United States won the medal count with 37 breaking the record for most medals won at a single Winter Olympics although Canada took the gold medal count with 14.
