    Description
    Cardboard box containing a glass bottle with cork stopper and paper label. Bottle is full of dark liquid. Made in Glenbrook [Stamford] Conn. "SAMPLE -- NOT TO BE SOLD" is stamped on both the box and the bottle label. This product was available at least by 1887 and likely a few years earlier. It was still being advertised in 1937.
    The indications or use of this product as stated on the packaging are: A reliable general tonic. An effective tonic for the nervous system and digestive organs, also indicated in defective nutrition, malarial conditions and during convalescence.
