    The indications or uses for this product as provided by the manufacturer are: in functional constipation: corrects constipation naturally- true hydrocholeresis produces "...a marked increase both in volume and fluidity of the bile" which is ".. the normal laxative of the digestive tract." Makes elimination easier- overcomes "a tendency to hard, firm stools..." Avoids catharsis- "none of the patients complained of abdominal cramping..." Helps regain normal bowel habits- majority of patients are "...able to decrease the dosage...within a short time..." and some to "...discontinue the drug altogether." relieves related G.I. distress- Decholin/Belladonna provides relief of flatulence, nausea, bloating, belching, and indigestion- common in constipated patients.
