- Chuck Hinton was one of many players featured on collectible coins made by Topps and included in packs of baseball cards.
- .Hinton was an outfielder for the Washington Senators (1961-64), Cleveland Indians (1965-67, 1969-71), and California Angels (1968). He was named to the American League All-Star team in 1964.
- After retirement, Hinton coached the Howard University Bison baseball team from 1972 to 2000. In 1982, he founded the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association.
