    Description
    Amber glass bottle with embossed inscription that reads "WARNER'S / SAFE / KIDNEY & LIVER / CURE / ROCHESTER N.Y." Hulbert Harrington Warner (1842-1923), a businessman who manufactured fire- and burglar-proof safes, purchased a medicinal formula from Charles Craig, a local doctor, and created a multi-million-dollar patent medicine business. Warner also endowed an astronomical observatory.
