- Participants on a boat tour of the Anacostia hosted by the Ward 8 Woods, a project of the Anacostia Coordinating Council that engages Ward 8 residents as paid park stewards. The Anacostia Riverkeepers provided the boat and pilot so participants could learn more about the Anacostia waterway and factors affecting its health and efforts to clean up the river. Wildlife seen include cormorants, a great blue heron and a bald eagle.
