Lauren Frautschi

Lauren Frautschi joined the Smithsonian’s Office of Advancement in June 2021 as the executive assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Advancement. She started her career in advancement at the Kennedy Center in 2018, first as an intern with the Individual and Planned Giving team and then as the Individual Campaigns assistant. In this role, Frautschi supported the Vice President of Individual Campaigns. In addition, she worked closely with the Major Gifts team to steward the Kennedy Center’s major donors and trustees. Frautschi provided critical support with the opening of the Kennedy Center’s groundbreaking $250 million dollar expansion, the REACH, in September 2019. Before her roles at the Kennedy Center, she was the development assistant at the University of Mary Washington, as well as an intern at the Folger Shakespeare Library and Keegan Theatre. Frautschi has a degree in theater with a minor in arts administration from the University of Mary Washington. Her hometown is Washington, D.C., where visiting museums is a beloved pastime.
