This exhibition traces the Scottish heritage of the city of Alexandria, Virginia, from its founding in the 18th century—by a group that included several Scottish tobacco traders—to today as a major regional transportation center. Alexandria continues to preserve and celebrate its history and Scottish heritage. Presented by the City of Alexandria. This exhibition complements the 2003 Folklife Festival.
