Floor Plan

Take a tour of our solar system from the “outside in”—the way a visitor from elsewhere in our galaxy would experience it—to see distant planets and moons as real places, each unique and wondrous in its own way.  Artifact-rich and filled with dramatic images of amazing features—giant volcanoes, huge canyons, methane lakes, massive storms, and towering geysers—the exhibition explores  the three distinct types of worlds: rocky planets, gas giant planets, and small icy bodies.

The exhibition draws on research from scientists in the Museum’s Center for Earth and Planetary Studies, who are actively involved in current planetary missions.
